A journey built on resilience, heart and pure determination. He brings passion, leadership and always looks after his teammates in battle.
Coach Yannick: “Delighted for Noah to be joining his team mates Fishy and Pilly. He adds the heartbeat to any team with his passion and love for the game — but more importantly I’ve admired how he looks after his teammates in battle. What a privilege for Carlisle having Noah, Fishy and Pilly”.

Well done ladies 👏🔵⚫️We kicked off the 2026 Northumberland FA Rec League this evening with a game against defending champions Wideopen Football Club at Blakelaw.
As expected, Wideopen put us under some early pressure but as the half went on we started to push back and create chances of our own. The Bellas took the lead when a ball forward from Nat saw a footrace between our attack and their defence, with Kasey getting to the ball first and finishing past the keeper. Our lead didn't last long though, as Wideopen scored soon after and then took the lead through a direct free kick, but going into the break just 2-1 down was still very good, considering the standard of opposition.
The second half saw Wideopen really put us to the sword as they threw everything at us and scored a quick double midway through the half, adding their fifth with ten minutes remaining. The closing stages saw us take some more risks as we looked to score our second, but the full time whistle was blown during a promising attack and the game ended 5-1.
A fantastic effort from Bedlington and a performance we can be proud of, even if it ended in defeat. It was another good turnout with twelve players in attendance and everyone had a good share of minutes as we made sure to rotate the squad.
Next Friday we play Amble AFC Ladies in the second round of fixtures.

Wideopen Football Club would like to congratulate U13 Wolves player Jackson Carr, who has followed in the footsteps of others and is now a contracted player with Sunderland AFC following a successful trial. A bright talent with a wand of a left foot, Jackson has a very exciting future ahead 👏👏
Coach Yannick said:
“I had no doubt Jacko would be successful. He was more than ready and the timing was just right for him. Jacko has shown tremendous resilience after recently being unsuccessful during his shadow spell with Newcastle United FC. This didn’t hold him back — he used that fire to kick on. I remember at times Jacko would turn up to training before me and start doing laps. I wish him all the best.”
Your hard work, dedication and attitude have paid off Jackson. We are all proud of you. All the best, Jackson⚽🔵⚫️

We’ve come a long way… but there’s still more to do 💛⚽
Wideopen FC has grown massively over the last few years, and we couldn’t be prouder.
We now have 26 girls teams and 36 boys teams, supporting over 600 children every single week. That makes us one of the biggest grassroots football providers in the North East.
It’s incredible progress, but with that growth comes responsibility to our players, our families, and our local community.
To keep moving forward, we’re working towards:
- Improved car parking, reducing roadside parking and improving safety for local residents and families
- A modernised clubhouse with flexible community space, opening the doors for more local groups, activities and community events
- A new 4G pitch to allow year-round football
Better parking means safer streets.
Better facilities mean more opportunities - not just for football, but for the wider community too.
We’ve created a Corporate Investment Pack and are now looking to partner with businesses who:
• Have ESG or community funding available
• Want to invest locally
• Believe in the power of grassroots sport
Wideopen FC is about more than football. It’s about belonging, confidence and creating something positive at the heart of our community.
If your company would like to be part of the next chapter, we’d love to talk.
Message us directly or email info@wideopenfc.co.uk to find out more.
Let’s keep building something special 💛⚽
